On behalf of a leading data centre design consultancy, we are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join their growing data centre team.
Role overview
The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the design and technical delivery of electrical systems on mission critical data centre projects. You will work closely with multidisciplinary design teams, clients and stakeholders from concept design through to construction support and handover.
Key responsibilities
Design and develop electrical systems for data centre projects including LV and MV distribution, UPS, generators and power quality systems
Produce calculations, technical reports, drawings and specifications
Support concept, schematic and detailed design stages
Coordinate with mechanical, commissioning and architectural teams
Attend design meetings, workshops and client reviews
Provide technical support during construction, testing and commissioning phases
Ensure designs comply with relevant standards, codes and client requirements
Candidate requirements
Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
Experience working on data centre or other mission critical facilities
Strong understanding of power distribution, redundancy and resilience concepts
Proficiency with relevant design software and tools
Good communication skills and ability to work within a design team
Ability to support projects across multiple locations if require
