JOB TITLE: Payroll Administrator
REPORTS TO: Manager, Payroll & Accounting
LOCATION: Dallas - Plano, Texas (Hybrid)
SUMMARY:
The Payroll Administrator is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely preparation, processing, and distribution of payroll. This role requires a high level of accuracy, confidentiality, and knowledge of payroll systems, tax regulations, and compliance requirements. The Payroll Administrator reports directly to the Manager, Payroll & Accounting and works closely with People & Culture, Accounting, and management to resolve payroll issues and support employee inquiries.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Process payrolls for all employees (Hourly & Salary) in accordance with company policies and Federal, State, and Local regulations.
- Review and verify timecards, attendance records, and other relevant data.
- Maintain accurate employee payroll records including new hires, terminations, changes in pay rates, benefits, and deductions.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and company policies.
- Submit and monitor payroll-related reports, including tax filings, garnishments, and benefits deductions.
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.
- Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports.
- Collaborate with People & Culture and Finance to support audits and reporting requirements.
- Stay updated on payroll laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Experience with multi-state payroll processing preferred.
- Knowledge of benefits administration and HRIS systems preferred.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) is a plus.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in payroll processing or a similar role.
